We're excited to announce the Snapit SaaS Zoo Suite - a collection of 17+ free, professional web tools designed for developers, marketers, and businesses. Each tool is named after an animal that represents its purpose and personality.
The Complete Tool Suite
Why Animal Names?
Each animal was chosen to represent the core purpose of its tool. Cheetahs are fast - perfect for QR codes. Tigers are powerful - perfect for HTTP status checking. Unicorns are magical - perfect for transforming long URLs into short ones.
All Free, No Catch
Every tool in the Snapit SaaS Zoo Suite has a generous free tier. We believe essential web tools should be accessible to everyone. Premium features are available for power users, but the free tier covers 90% of typical use cases.
Status Tiger: Professional Status Pages for Everyone
Today we're launching Status Tiger, a professional status page and incident communication platform. Whether you're a solo developer or an enterprise team, Status Tiger helps you keep your users informed about service availability.
Key Features
- 50 free monitors with 5-minute check intervals
- Beautiful status pages that look professional out of the box
- Incident management with real-time updates
- Email notifications for subscribers
- API access for automation and integrations
Pricing That Makes Sense
Our pricing starts at $3.99/month for the Starter tier, going up to $299.99/month for Scale. Compare that to Statuspage.io (Atlassian) which starts at $79/month. We believe professional status pages shouldn't cost a fortune.

A look at the infrastructure powering the Snapit SaaS Zoo Suite. We prioritize speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.
The Stack
Frontend
- Vanilla HTML/CSS/JS (most apps)
- React + Vite (complex apps)
- Tailwind CSS for styling
- CloudFront CDN for delivery
Backend
- AWS Lambda (serverless)
- API Gateway for routing
- DynamoDB for data
- S3 for static hosting
Why Serverless?
Serverless architecture lets us scale to zero when there's no traffic and handle millions of requests when needed. This means we can offer generous free tiers without going broke on infrastructure costs.
Performance First
Every tool is designed to load in under 2 seconds. We use aggressive caching, lazy loading, and minimize JavaScript bundles. The result? Tools that feel instant, even on slow connections.
Authentication
We use Google OAuth for authentication across all tools. One login works everywhere. For apps that need it, we also support email/password auth with secure PBKDF2 password hashing.
Our Hub & Spoke Approach to Web Tools
How we organize 17+ web tools into a coherent ecosystem that helps users find exactly what they need.
Brand Hubs
Each major tool category has a "hub" - a comprehensive tool that does everything. HTTP Tiger is the hub for network monitoring. QR Cheetah is the hub for QR codes. Fox Forms is the hub for form building.
SEO Snipers
Supporting each hub are focused "sniper" sites that target specific use cases:
- checkstatus.app targets "website status checker" and funnels to Status Tiger
- is-it-down.app targets "is website down" and funnels to HTTP Tiger
- short-links.app targets "short link generator" and funnels to URL Unicorn
Why This Works
Users searching for "website status checker" have different intent than those searching for "HTTP status code reference". By having focused tools for each intent, we provide better experiences and rank higher in search. Everyone wins.
